Most people walk the most popular part of the track in 3 days from Marahau to Totaranui. The track is well-serviced by water taxis up until Totaranui. The Abel Tasman Coast Track is a 60 kilometre long trail of special status, one of the Great Walks of New Zealand. It is also one of the most pleasant, the highest point is only at 150 metres! You can visit the national park throughout the year, but you have to be aware that nights can be very cold out of season. The Abel Tasman Coast Track is not a circuit track so you'll need some form of transport at both ends. However, with boat access available at several points, one is not forced to walk the entire track.
